Buses Thursday and Friday<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

West Travel will have bus trips on Thursday, April 16th, and Friday, April 17th, from town up to the valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free shuttle bus service<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bus rides included in the participation fee depart from Torfnes on Thursday, April 16, at 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Buses will return as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional bus trips<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also bus tours that are not included in the participation fee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Torfnes: 11:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Seljalandsdalur: 11:30, 14:30, 16:30, 18:30<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bus fare is 1,500 kr. one way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can buy tickets for the bus on the website https:\/\/www.westtravel.is\/<\/a> and you will also be able to buy ticket on the bus using card or contactless payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Private car traffic is permitted on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Buses Saturday<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Due to road congestion and limited parking, private car traffic up Seljalandsdalur is prohibited on Saturday morning until 09:00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free buses are provided by the race organizers. \nThere is ample parking by the football field and the high school at Torfnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first bus leaves Torfnes at 06:30, and then every 15 minutes. The last bus leaves at 08:45. After that, private cars are allowed into the area while parking spaces last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Busses will be waiting at the finish goal and will go every 15 minutes or when they have reached their capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The road is then opened to private cars at 09:00, but parking is limited and you can expect to have to park quite a distance from the race site. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
