Buses Thursday and Friday

West Travel will have bus trips on Thursday, April 16th, and Friday, April 17th, from town up to the valley.

Free shuttle bus service

Bus rides included in the participation fee depart from Torfnes on Thursday, April 16, at 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Buses will return as needed.

Additional bus trips

There are also bus tours that are not included in the participation fee.

From Torfnes: 11:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00.

From Seljalandsdalur: 11:30, 14:30, 16:30, 18:30

The bus fare is 1,500 kr. one way.

You can buy tickets for the bus on the website https://www.westtravel.is/ and you will also be able to buy ticket on the bus using card or contactless payment.

Private car traffic is permitted on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Buses Saturday

Due to road congestion and limited parking, private car traffic up Seljalandsdalur is prohibited on Saturday morning until 09:00.

Free buses are provided by the race organizers. There is ample parking by the football field and the high school at Torfnes.

The first bus leaves Torfnes at 06:30, and then every 15 minutes. The last bus leaves at 08:45. After that, private cars are allowed into the area while parking spaces last.

Busses will be waiting at the finish goal and will go every 15 minutes or when they have reached their capacity.

The road is then opened to private cars at 09:00, but parking is limited and you can expect to have to park quite a distance from the race site.
