Fossavatnsgangan wins incentive award

Fossavatnsgangan recently received an incentive award from the sports and leisure committee of Ísafjörður town, but the committee annually awards this award for selfless work in the interest of the sports movement.

In review says, among other things: "Fossavatnsgangan has grown considerably in recent years and now makes a big impression on the town every year. The walk is attended by a large number of volunteers from our community, who participate year after year. With the hard work and enthusiasm of the race officials and volunteers, they manage to make this historic cross-country race a magnificent event, a great credit to the town." Kristbjörn Róbert Sigurjónsson—Bobbi—accepted the award on behalf of the race from Guðnýja Stefanía Stefánsdóttir, chairman of the committee, and Birgi Gunnarsson, mayor and cross-country skier.
